The U.S. Senate approved the PACT Act, a bill that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to toxic substances such as burn pits. This new law delivers generations of Veterans the health care and benefits they deserve to improve their quality of life.
The PACT Act for veterans will no longer require them to prove that toxic exposure caused their illness to get disability benefits. It is the most significant care expansion in VA history and is expected to provide veterans $280 billion over a decade.
What the PACT Act will bring:
âŞď¸ Eligibility for VA health care expands for veterans exposed to toxins, including Vietnam, Gulf War, and post-9/11 Veterans
âŞď¸ 20 new presumptive conditions added for burn pits and other toxic exposures
âŞď¸ More presumptive-exposure locations added for Agent Orange and radiation
âŞď¸ Every Veteran enrolled in VA health care will receive a toxic exposure screening
âŞď¸ Improvements in research, staff education, and treatment related to toxic exposure
You can file claims for PACT Act-related benefits. If you aren’t sure you are eligible, give us a callâŚ
